Sayyed Nasrallah to the “Israelis”: Avoid Foolishness, Hezbollah is Ready to Respond to Any Strike
By Zeinab Essa
Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered on Saturday a speech in which he tackled various issues.
At the beginning of his speech, Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted that “We’re celebrating 15 years on the Divine victory of 2006.”
“Wherever there are believers who are honest in their pledges and who insist on resistance and shouldering responsibilities, the promise of Allah and His Prophet is a permanent promise of victory,” he said.
His Eminence further condoled with the families of the martyrs over the martyrdom of their sons who fell in the Khalde incidents.
In addition, he thanked all the leaders of the resistance as well as all the Resistance supporters in Lebanon and in the region.
Sayyed Nasrallah lamented the demise of Resistance leader brother Ahmad Jibril “Abu Jihad” who will be missed in the fields of resistance and struggle with the “Israeli” enemy.
In addition, the Resistance Leader urged the preservation and development of the results and achievements scored in 2006 victory all along the 33 days of war.
“The achievements of July 2006 war have entered a new phase due to the heroic confrontations during the battle of ‘Al-Quds Sword’,” he stated, noting that “The most important strategic achievement is setting a balance of deterrence and protective rules of engagement that guaranteed Lebanon’s security and safety all over the past 15 years.”
According to His Eminence, “For 15 years, Lebanon has been enjoying security, safety, calm and tranquility in a precedent that we didn’t witness since 1948.”
Sayyed Nasrallah recalled that “‘Israel’ used to carry out airstrikes across Lebanon without any deterrence. Today, what prevents the ‘Israeli’ enemy from carrying out airstrikes on Lebanon is the enemy's fear of a confrontation with the resistance.”
In parallel, he underscored that “The enemy today is more worried than ever about its existence because of what is happening in Palestine and the development of the axis of resistance. The enemy attempts to press in all fields to impose on Lebanon being unable to confront.”
“Before and after 2006, the central cause for the ‘Israeli’ enemy was the weapon of the resistance in Lebanon and its development. Our enemy today, more than any time before, is concerned about its existence due to what is happening in Palestine and the growth of the Axis of Resistance,” His Eminence mentioned.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah Secretary General highlighted that “What happened in the past days is a dangerous development that has not happened since 15 years ago. The ‘Israelis’ were not able, through their raids in Syria, to achieve their goals to prevent the expansion of the resistance's capabilities.”
“Some of the Lebanese leaders did not feel the airstrikes but residents in Shawkeir were terrorized,” he confirmed, pointing out that “Avenging the martyrdom of our brothers Ali Mohsen was to kill an “Israeli” soldier, but the circumstances did not exist for it. Yesterday's operation was not in response to the martyrdom of our two brothers Ali Mohsen and Mohammad Tahan.”
Sayyed Nasrallah also underlined that “Some acts of aggression has time as an essential factor, and the delay in responding to them make the response loses its value.”
“Our response was calculated and everyone agreed to this,” he revealed, announcing that “Our response yesterday was directly linked to the ‘Israeli’ airstrikes and its objective was clear, affirming the old equations and deterrence. We intended to retaliate in the day not to terrify people as we are keen on them and their emotions.”
In addition, His Eminence declared that “We are courageous enough to take responsibility for our actions, just as our statement, our shelling completes our message to the enemy. The Resistance is to respond to any ‘Israeli’ air strike on Lebanon in an appropriate and proportionate manner. Our response was within the framework of affirming the old equations that the enemy wanted to change. Our response to airstrikes would be towards any point in the occupied Northern Palestine. Our options are open.”
“The qualitative rocketry might of the Resistance has been growing and it has possessed huge numbers of precise missiles,” he said
To the "Israelis", the Resistance Leader sent a clear message: “Do not bet on the Lebanese division over the resistance, because it is not new as the resistance forced the enemy to withdraw in 2000, and scored victory in 2006, despite the division over it.”
“The greatest foolishness that the enemy will commit is when it decides to go to war with Lebanon,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, noting that “We will not limit any future response to the Shebaa Farms. All “Israeli” farmers and settlers must evacuate the Northern front. We won't abandon the achievements of the Resistance that it made in July 2006 war no matter the dangers, as doing so would allow the enemy to transgress our country.”
In addition, he indicated that “Whatever the Lebanese situation at home, for us, protecting our country and our people is our number 1 responsibility.”
“I don't want to respond to those who proclaim sovereignty but wept after the retaliation of the resistance. Everybody has made his decision,” Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized.
Commenting on the Shawaya incident, His Eminence underscored that “Circulating the Shwaya incident was shameful... when I watched the video I was touched, how the people would receive this incident?”
“What was worse than the Shwaya incident was the filming of the incident and the distribution of the footage, which inflamed sentiments, and I was personally dismayed? The video that came later of the same rocket launcher proved that it fired from a faraway place. The missiles in the launcher are good evidence on the discipline of the Resistance men because the decision was to launch 20 missiles only,” he explained.
Sayyed Nasrallah elaborated that “Military rules obliged us to launch the missiles from the area where they have been launched,” praised some of Shwaya's residents who defended the resistance men.
In response, he confirmed that “Any attack against any innocent person is condemned.”
Sayyed Nasrallah addressed the people of Shwaya and Hasbaya by assuring: “Had we been able to target the area we shelled from Shia areas and from our houses, we wouldn't have launched them from your areas.”
His Eminence also unveiled that “When I watched the video of the Shwaya incident I wished I could reach those resistance men to kiss their foreheads and their hands. Those who attacked the group of Resistance men in Shwaya don't belong to this world.”
“It is not the people of Shwaya who attacked the group of resistance men. We appreciate all those who supported the resistance,” he stressed, urging people from refraining from holding the people of Shwaya and the Druze sect the responsibility for attacking the Resistance group.
Moving to the internal Lebanese front, Sayyed Nasrallah recalled the tragedy of Beirut Port blast after one year on the incident.
“Immediately after the Beirut Port blast, the US-Saudi-paid political investment kicked off,” he said, noting that “All the parties that contributed to the investigation reached one conclusion that there are no weapons or ammunition in the port.”
Calling the judiciary to reveal who brought the nitrates, His Eminence underscored that “After the hypotheses that attempted to link the Beirut Port explosion to Hezbollah was diminished, they resorted to the issue of nitrates.”
“Everything that has been circulated since the Beirut port blast is not based on logic, and has no aim other than distortion, blackmail and misrepresentation,” he added, noting that “Those who abused the martyrs’ blood and the wounded injuries at the Beirut port blast are the ones who spread false news to mislead the investigation and public opinion.”
Once again, Hezbollah Secretary General reiterated that his party “is not afraid of investigation because it is not accused by the judicial authorities in Beirut port explosion. Had we wanted to abuse the situation, we would have said that those who brought the Nitrates are the sides that support the armed groups operating in Syria.”
In response, he urged the judiciary to release the results of the technical investigation. “What Hezbollah fears is wasting the truth. This is why the judiciary must announce what has been reached so far. What we demand is publishing the results of the technical investigation. Is there any more ridiculous and more heinous accusation than claiming that Hezbollah was storing Nitrates at the Beirut Port?” His Eminence wondered.
To the families of Beirut Port martyrs, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “The judiciary investigation in the Beirut Port blast is politicized and is subject to discretion. Do not allow criminals and some people with a history full of murder to abuse the blood of your children.”
Meanwhile, His Eminence commented on Khalde incident by saying: “What happened in Khalde is a massacre, not an accident, and all shootings were aimed at killing.”
“Those who carried out the massacre are a gang of criminals and murderers,” he said, noting that “Our problem is not with the Arab clans in Khalde, but with the murderous criminal group.”
In response, the Resistance Leader viewed that “We tolerated the harm in the Khaldeh Massacre due to wisdom and responsibility, and not due to weakness.”
According to Sayyed Nasrallah: “What is required is to arrest all those involved in committing the Khaldeh Massacre as soon as possible and transfer them to the judiciary. What is required is a radical solution to the issue of attacking people and blocking the road that leads to South Lebanon.”
“Those who insist on attacking people, blocking roads, and threatening the country's civil peace must be arrested. Our problem is not with the Arab people and tribes in Khaldeh. Our problem is rather with the murderous criminal group,” he clarified.
At the end of his speech, Sayyed Nasrallah urged strict adherence to Coronavirus measures and precautions while commemorating the days of Ashura in the Hijri month of Muharram, assuring the Resistance people that “We will pass everything. This calamity won't last long and won't remain forever.”
