Syrian, Iraqi Presidents Discuss Bilateral Relations, Fight Against Terrorism

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad received on Thursday a telephone call from Iraqi counterpart Barham Salih, in which they tackled bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, combatting terrorism, and coordination and cooperation between Syria and Iraq to eliminate this danger that poses threat to both states.

The two sides underlined the necessity of joint cooperation to consolidate the positive outcomes which were achieved in the fight against terrorist groups along the Syrian-Iraqi border regions.

The phone call also dealt with means of boosting and developing bilateral cooperation, with both sides agreeing to intensify common efforts to raise the level of cooperation in all domains in the interests of the two countries and peoples.
