‘Israelis’ Suppress Palestinians Performing Friday Prayers in Silwan

Dozens of residents of occupied al-Quds and Silwan performed Friday prayers in the sit-in tent in the Bustan neighborhood in Silwan, occupied al-Quds, protesting against the policy of demolition and forced displacement.

A vigil was held following the prayers in front of the sit-in tent, in which the participants chanted slogans denouncing ‘Israeli’ policy, stressing their steadfastness and determination in adhering to their land.

‘Israeli’ forces fired tear gas, sound grenades and rubber bullets at the participants in the protest.

As a result, confrontations broke out between the youths and the occupation forces at the sit-in tent, and spread to Bir Ayoub and Batn al-Hawa neighborhoods in Silwan.
