Hezbollah Laments the Demise of Sayyed Mohtashamipur, Hails His Efforts Against the ‘Israeli’ Invasion of Lebanon

Hezbollah issued the following statement:

In the name of Allah the most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

{Verily we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we return}

Today, a great and dear brother has left us to the afterlife, he is His Eminence, the Mujahid cleric Sayyed Ali Akbar Mohtashamipur, after a blessed life full of Jihad, struggle, and relentless work in the service of the revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and our peoples of the region in particular. His Eminence has spent great efforts with our martyr leader Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi and other brothers in 1982 after the ‘Israeli’ invasion of wide regions in Lebanon, to launch the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon to which he offered all possible forms of support. Additionally, his great efforts in serving and defending the Palestinian Cause are well known to everybody. The bloody wounds in his hands, face, and chest due to the assassination attempt against him remain witnesses on his prominent Jihadi position, especially during that phase of struggle with the Zionist enemy.

Hezbollah expresses the warmest condolences to His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the honored family of Sayyed Mohtashami, all his friends, fellows, and lovers on the demise of this dear and belover Sayyed. Hezbollah additionally expresses sympathy and agony for his loss, submitting to the will of Allah, and prays for his mercy and high degrees in paradise.
