Pharmaceutical company Pfizer decided to freeze coronavirus vaccine shipments to the Zionist entity due to a delay in payments, broadcaster Channel 12 reported on Friday.

A batch of 700,000 doses was expected to arrive in the occupied territories soon, according to the report, but was put on hold.

The US company was reportedly “furious” over Tel Aviv’s suspension of money transfers, and made clear that if it would not be wired promptly the vaccines would go to countries waiting in line instead.

The dispute with Pfizer rose following a public quarrel between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and War Minister Benny Gantz.

The former military chief criticized Netanyahu for not approving his appointment as interim justice minister, while Netanyahu and Health Ministry officials called for urgency in the matter and procure more vaccines in wake of the occupation entity’s low morbidity rates.

According to Channel 12, on top of the 700,000 vaccines, ‘Israel’ did not authorize the payment over an additional 1.4 million doses that were discussed in negotiations with the American firm.
