Lebanon registered 2,388 new Coronavirus cases and 30 new related deaths in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said Sunday.

The Health Ministry report did not say how many tests were conducted but said 43 cases were found among travelers arriving at Rafik Hariri International Airport.

The total number of cases since the virus was first detected in the country on February 21, 2020, has risen to 479,501 while the total number of fatalities now stands at 6,409.

The Health Ministry also did not report any new vaccinations. The cumulative number of inoculations since the February 14 onset stood at 159,776 first-stage and 89,252 second-stage vaccinations so far.

Lebanese authorities imposed a three-day nationwide curfew as of Saturday morning to try limit the spread of COVID-19 during the Easter holiday.
