For almost six years, Yemen has been facing the ugliest crimes against humanity committed by the American-Saudi-led coalition of aggression targeting the nation.

The spokesman for Yemen’s General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Mazen Ghanem, confirmed that the blockade imposed by the US-Saudi aggression on the country and the closure of Sanaa International Airport is an unforgivable crime.

Ghanem pointed out that the US-Saudi blockade caused the death of thousands of patients, and hundreds of thousands of patients expected the same fate if they were unable to travel for treatment abroad.

"The closure of Sanaa International Airport prevented millions of Yemenis from traveling and returning to the homeland. It made Yemen a large prison," he said.

Closing Sanaa International Airport violates all international laws, agreements and decisions, Ghanem said, reiterating demands to the Security Council to neutralize Sanaa airport and to issue an immediate international resolution binding on opening it.
