In Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ongoing corruption trial, his attorneys submitted Monday their response to the occupied al-Quds District Court, arguing that their client was indicted over deeds that were never probed.

“They invented offenses, some over which Netanyahu was not even investigated,” defense lawyers Boaz Ben Tzur and Amit Hadad claimed in the response, cited by outlet N12.

In addition, they claimed that the investigations against Netanyahu were launched without the authorization of the attorney general -- as is required by law.

The response further stipulated that investigators did not question Netanyahu over at least 90 percent of instances which the amended indictment in the favorable media coverage case refers to.

After Netanyahu’s appearance at court for a hearing last week was delayed to February 8 due to the full lockdown, his team had to respond to an amendment made by the prosecution.

The Zionist occupation entity’s longest-serving premier faces trial on corruption charges, including bribery, fraud and breach of public trust -- although he vehemently denies any wrongdoing.
