"Israel" acknowledges that Hizbullah has grown three times stronger than when it first crushed the "Israeli" army in the second war on Lebanon.
At a Knesset (parliament) session on Monday, "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak voiced concern over Hizbullah military power, saying the movement has 42,000 missiles which could easily target 'Ashkelon, Beersheba and Dimona.'
"Hizbullah has three times the ability it had before the Second Lebanon War and now has 42,000 missiles in its possession, as opposed to the 14,000 it had before the war," "Israeli" daily the Jerusalem Post quoted Barak as saying.
The regime faced a crushing defeat in the 33-day war in summer 2006 after it failed to achieve its goals to destroy the military power of the Lebanese resistance.
The war minister has also accused the movement of violating the UN Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 1701 which put an end to the second "Israeli" war against Lebanon.
Under the resolution adopted in August 2006, the Lebanese Army and UN peacekeepers were deployed to southern Lebanon to end the 33-day war against the country. The Resolution also called for the disarmament of Hizbullah.
Hizbullah, however, rejected the disarmament calls, saying its weapons deter the "Israeli" regime from invading the country.
