Hezbollah slammed the US move and affirmed its solidarity with the Ansarullah and its honorable leadership.

Hezbollah issued the following statement:

The US isn’t content with merely taking part in and supporting the unjust aggression against Yemen. Instead, the State Department announced its intention to designate the Ansarullah movement as a "foreign terrorist organization" and its leader Sayyed Abdul Malik Badreddin Al-Houthi and his Mujahedeen brothers Sayyed Abdul Khaleq Badreddin Al-Houthi and Sayyed Abdullah Yahya Al-Hakim as terrorists.

It is a criminal move aimed at undermining the morale and steadfastness of the Yemeni people and leadership in order to carry on with the unjust blockade and criminal aggression for which the US bears full responsibility along with its humanitarian and health repercussions.

These American measures and similarly aggressive steps in the past have targeted regional resistance movements. They are aimed at punishing anyone who rejects US hegemony and domination over the region's capabilities, wealth and the choices of its free people, as well as those who challenge the Zionist occupation of Palestine and refuse to join the sinister normalization movement.

Hezbollah strongly condemns and denounces this unjust aggressive move and affirms its solidarity with the Ansarullah movement and its honorable and courageous leadership. It stresses that the Ansarullah movement, which took on the responsibility of defending the oppressed Yemeni people for many years and stood firm in the face of the American-Saudi aggression and destruction machine, will only become more steadfast and adhere to its legitimate and sacred right to defend the Yemeni people, their precious land, resources and national choices.
