“The Syrian diplomacy to continue combating terrorism and boosting alliances with friends, atop of which is Hezbollah. The Syrian diplomacy will follow the same values the late believed in. He fought for Syria on all international platforms and represented his country in the best possible way.”

For her part, Syrian President Political Adviser Bouthaina Shaaban told al-Ahed: “Late Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem had prepared a great number of diplomats who have the same will to defend Syria.”

She added further that the late minister was able to manage very difficult issues easily, wisely, and powerfully no matter how hard the circumstances are.

In the same ceremony, Lebanese Hezbollah member of the parliament Hussein al-Hajj Hassan reiterated in comments to al-Ahed adhering to the path of resistance and Syria’s stable path in the Arab resistance against the American and Zionist schemes.
