By Staff
The Saudi regime authorities raided safe houses in al-Awamia neighborhood in al-Qatif eastern Province, without any legal proof, as part of its continued policy of sectarian targeting against residents of the area in an attempt to break their will in rejecting oppression and tyranny.
Over the past two months, the Saudi intelligence arrested dozens of youths during violent raids that were backed by armored vehicles, the last of which was on November 23rd.
In further details, the Saudi regime’s special mission forces, accompanied with security members from the intelligence and state security apparatuses, stormed the town of Awamia and detained many residents without presenting arrest warrants or explaining the reasons.
Among the identified detainees there were Wassim Al Nimr, Nabil Al Yassin, and Zaki Abu Abdallah, while there was contradictory information regarding the real number of the detainees who were taken to an unknown destination while their relatives were not allowed to contact them or learn the place or the circumstances behind their arrest.
The ongoing arrests also targeted Sayyed Khodor al-Awami and Sheikh Abbas al-Said earlier in November. Similarly, no contacts were allowed with them after they were detained in a raid that violates all local, religious and ethical laws and doctrines.
The two aforementioned detainees were students of martyr Sheik Nimr Baqir al-Nimr who was beheaded by the criminal Saudi regime on January 2nd, 2016.
Relatively, accounts belonging to activists on social media reported that the Saudi regime and its military personnel stormed the Awamia neighborhoods in military and armored vehicles, besieged one neighborhood and detained many residents whose names were not identified yet.
