Bill Gates: Humanity Will Face Another Pandemic Soon, We’ll Be Lucky If It’s Two Decades Late!

Microsoft founder Bill Gates said that humanity will face another pandemic in the near future, but he seemed optimistic about the world’s ability to face it better compared to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a podcast with actress Rashida Jones and infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci, Gates explained that the next pandemic may occur after 3 years, adding that humans will be lucky “if it is 20 years late”.
However, Gates expressed his confidence that the world would be better prepared for the next pandemic.
“If we talk about the next pandemic… inevitably we’re going to have another pandemic, right?” Jones asked.
“Yeah, hopefully, with luck, it could be 20 years from now. But we have to assume it could be three years from now,” Gates said.
Jones went on and asked, “So if people are already set up in this way, do you think that the next one that will come will have less of a destructive impact?”
“The main reason that it will have a less destructive impact is, we will have practiced, we will have done disease games, like war games; and almost every country will respond like South Korea or Australia did where you’re very quickly testing people and quarantining people; and our tools for testing will be way better,” Gates said, adding, “Now, we won’t be this stupid the second time around!”
Last September, Gates said he expected the COVID-19 pandemic to end by 2022.
Gates is known as a major investor in the pharmaceutical sector, and has allocated millions of dollars to develop 7 different vaccines COVID-19 against alone.
He previously said that between 70 and 80% of the world’s population should be vaccinated against the virus, before anyone hopes to lead a normal life again.
