Palestinian prisoner Maher al-Akhras continues his open-ended hunger strike for the 95th day in a row, rejecting his administrative detention, amid serious deterioration in his health and the continuation of the popular movement supporting him.

Al-Akhras suffers from severe fatigue and stress, chest and body pains, affecting his sense of smell and taste, as he may suffer a sudden organ failure due to the lack of salts and fluids, according to “The Commission of Detainees Affairs”.

In an interview with "Palestine Today", the Palestinian hunger-striker’s lawyer, Ahlam Haddad said that the doctors confirmed the al-Akhras is in very critical health conditions and may die at any moment. They further added that he suffers from headaches and seizures that may produce coma, which is endangering his life.
