The leadership of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine [PFLP] in the ‘Israeli’ occupation prisons announced on Monday reaching a deal with the prisons’ administration to end the isolation of PFLP official in the occupation prisons’ Wael al-Jaghoub.

The organization said in a statement that “ending the isolation will happen very soon before the end of the year, and that al-Jaghoub will be transferred to a place close to his companions inside the ‘Ramon Prison’ to be able to contact him regularly, let a friend into his cell and allow him family visits until he is out of the solitary confinement.”

This comes in the course of “submitting to the resistance steps announced by our companions inside the prisons’ organization as part of the “Pledge of the Faithful” battle, and after strong interventions and major efforts made by the national and Islamic factions inside the prisons, namely inside the ‘Ramon Prison’ by Fatah, Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movements.”

The statement further hailed the pressure from all sides against the prisons’ administration to solve al-Jaghoub’d issue.

The PFLP also pointed to putting the strike and the “Pledge of the Faithful” battle on hold until al-Jaghoub is released from solitary confinement, vowing to implement united resistance steps in case the occupation didn’t commit to this deal.

It is worth noting that the head of PFLF branch inside the occupation prisons’ Wael al-Jaghoub has been isolated inside the ‘Majdo Prison’ since June.

He has spent 19 years behind bars after being arrested in 2001. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, added to six more years of detention he has spent in 1992.
