Yemeni Health Minister: Coalition Preventing Entry of Medical Devices, Exacerbating the Suffering of Thousands of Patien

Yemeni Minister of Health Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel said, “Yemen is witnessing a record increase in cases of brain and nerve deformities, as the forces of aggression increase the bombing of civilians and populated areas with their poisonous weapons".

Al-Mutawakel made the remarks in a conference held by the ministry on neurosurgery and the spine, and added, “The countries of aggression prevent the entry of diagnostic devices for neurosurgery and exacerbate the suffering of thousands of patients and deteriorate the medical services needed for them."

He went on to say, "Most of the magnetic resonance devices have almost stopped due to the aggression’s prevention of the entry of this type of medical device or any of its equipment," noting that "the coalition insist on preventing the entry of endoscopes necessary for brain and nerve surgery for the sixth year in a row”.
