As the stricter lockdown came into effect on Friday, a new drama unfolded after the Zionist parliament [Knesset] hasn’t yet managed to ratify the new lockdown regulations put forward by the ‘Israeli’ occupation government.

The lockdown is still expected to be implemented but without the rules limiting protests. This means that on Saturday night a demonstration in occupied al-Quds against Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could potentially take place.

During deliberations in the Knesset’s Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, lawmaker of the Likud party Miki Zohar, a close Netanyahu ally, warned that if the legislation won’t pass in the plenum, the government will advance an emergency process to limit protests for four days.

Zionist War Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz pushed back the emergency proposal, asserting that “we will keep pushing the legislation within the rules and will prevent using emergency regulations that are focused solely on protests, prayers, or any other specific target.”
