Hezbollah’s “Loyalty to Resistance” parliamentary bloc on Thursday categorically rejected that any party nominates on its behalf the ministers that represent it in the government, stressing that some local sides rely on foreign interventions to create a government that misrepresents that political forces.

In a statement issued after its weekly meeting, the bloc wondered how some of those forming the government prevent the PM-designate from communicating with the parliamentary blocs and break the governmental balance by snatching the finance portfolio from other parties.

“We reject any ban on assigning our political component to hold any ministerial portfolio, especially that of finance. Regarding the rest of the issues, we are open to any discussion.”

The bloc underscored the importance of the French initiative aimed at finding a solution for the ongoing political crisis in Lebanon, adding that the US role which serves the ‘Israeli’ enemy’s interests deactivated it.

The bloc also urged the Lebanese officials hindering the cabinet formation to prioritize the national interests.
