US Army Helicopter Crashes in Northern Syria

A US helicopter crashed in Syria's northeastern province of al-Hasakah, state-run Syrian Arab News Agency [SANA] reported Tuesday, citing local sources.

According to the SANA, the crash site has been cordoned off with US armored vehicles. It is not immediately clear what caused the crash.

The incident occurred in Tel Haddad village near al-Ya'rubiyah. The type of the helicopter and the cause of the crash were not immediately known, SANA added.
