Hezbollah Condoles Ayatollah Taskhiri’s Demise: He Had Been a Symbol of Hardworking Scholar, Icon of Resistance

Offering condolences to Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the religious scholars on the demise of Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Ali al-Taskhiri, Hezbollah issued the following statement:

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

"Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return."

After a long jihad journey and a career full of giving and great accomplishments, His Eminence, Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Ali al-Taskhiri, left our mortal world to the eternal place, holding in his right hand a book full of knowledge, work, efforts, morality, loyalty, sacrifice, and continuous career in the path to Allah. He who, for decades, was there in every establishment of Islamic unity and rapprochement between Islamic doctrines, rapprochement and cooperation among the world’s Muslims, whether at the level of leadership frameworks, scholarly gatherings, conferences, studies, researches, dialogues, authorship, and direct relations. He played an important role in the axis of resistance in ideology, culture, mobilization, and solid position.

His Eminence, Ayatollah al-Taskhari was an example of a hardworking scholar who worked day and night, who was not stopped by illness, and who was not defeated until the very last minute of his honorable life.

We in Hezbollah, who had the honor of brotherhood, friendship and joint work with the great late Sheikh, send our deepest condolences and consolation for the loss of the dearest, to His Eminence Imam Khamenei, our honorable religious authorities, every Hawza, and especially those of his honorable family. We ask Allah Almighty for all of them to be patient and for the great late the mercy and paradise.
