Iran-Iraq Ties at ‘Best Level’ - PMU Chief

Head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Unit [PMU], known by its Arabic name Hashd al-Sha’abi, Falih al-Fayyadh said relations between Tehran and Baghdad are at their best level.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi’s first trip since taking office to Iran and his meetings with Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani showed the “depth of ties and common interests” between the two nations, al-Fayyadh told al-Mayadeen TV channel on Wednesday.
He added that the relationship between the two neighboring countries are at "its best level".
Heading a high-ranking politico-economic delegation, al-Kadhimi visited Tehran last week for a two-day visit.
Al-Kadhimi also sat down with Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council [SNSC] Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
