The “Israeli” entity had conducted an airstrike near Damascus Airport in the Syrian capital on Monday night, causing the martyrdom of one Hezbollah member, Ali Kamel Mohsen.

As the Lebanese Resistance group mourned the martyr on Tuesday, “Israeli” media reported that there was "fear and alertness in ‘Israel’ of Hezbollah's response”.

Meanwhile, the “Israeli” Occupation Forces [IOF] announced Thursday that additional infantry units have been sent to the northern borders to bolster the defenses on the border with Lebanon.

The reinforcement follows an IOF situation assessment and reports that air defenses have also been stepped up in multiple areas in the country.

On Wednesday, Sarit Zehavi, a veteran of the IOF intelligence service, warned that Hezbollah group was preparing for a large-scale attack, as cited by the Washington Free Beacon.

Zehavi, who is now head of the “Israeli” Alma Research and Education Center, warned that the number of Hezbollah vehicles spotted in the area had significantly grown, and that an attack reminiscent of a 2006 raid that killed three IOF troops and saw two more captured.
