Iran Says General Soleimani’s Assassination Clear Example of US State Terrorism

Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi said that the US assassination of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps [IRGC] Quds Force Commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani was the "obvious example of state terrorism."
Takht Ravanchi made the remarks to the Virtual Counter-Terrorism Week under the theme of “Strategic and Practical Challenges of Countering Terrorism in a Global Pandemic Environment” that was held on Friday.
Lt. General Soleimani was assassinated by the US occupation forces in Iraq while on an official visit to the capital Baghdad in January, 2020.
Such brutal terrorist attack was a "gross violation of the fundamental principles of international law," the ambassador said.
Takht Ravanchi also talked of the brutal suppression of the Palestinian people, the suppression that as he noted should be condemned by the global community.
