Iran’s Mousavi Says US Blame Game Won’t Fool the World
By Staff, Agencies
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi in a message referred to series of US withdrawals, saying the world will not be fooled by the US blame game.
"In the new chapter of its Withdrawal series, & amid a pandemic that has rattled the world, the US terminates its relationship w/ @WHO," Mousavi wrote on his Twitter account.
"After failing its ppl, this irresponsible regime has been seeking a scapegoat to hide its debacle. But blame games didn't & won't fool the world," he added.
US President Donald Trump announced that he is terminating the country's relationship with the World Health Organization [WHO].
He accused the WHO of failing to hold Beijing to account over the coronavirus pandemic.
"China has total control over the World Health Organization," Trump said while announcing measures aimed at punishing Beijing.
Washington will redirect funds to other bodies, he claimed.
