A total of 350,509 people have died across the globe from 5,593,148 officially registered cases.

The COVID-19 coronavirus has killed more than 350,000 people worldwide, according to Wednesday's tally from Johns Hopkins University [JHU].

The United States has registered the most deaths at 98,929 and 1,681,418 confirmed cases, followed by Brazil which has the highest number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Latin America, with 391,222 infections and 24,512 fatalities.

Brazil reported the highest daily COVID-19 death toll in the world Tuesday with 1,039 people killed, the fifth straight day the country has topped the list.
