Gantz to Blame Netanyahu In Case Of Fourth ‘Israeli’ Election

Saying he was doing everything in his power to prevent a fourth general ‘Israeli’ election within a year, Zionist Blue and White leader Benny Gantz on Friday charged that should it nevertheless occur, the responsibility would lie entirely with caretaker Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“I am still unable to tell you whether we will succeed in forming a government or not,” Gantz, whose faction is negotiating to form an emergency government with Netanyahu’s Likud, wrote on his official Facebook page.
Gantz added that: The only thing I can tell you is that my partners and I are doing everything within our power to wrap this up while holding on to our principles, to get through one of the ‘Israeli’ entity’s greatest crises.
After Gantz and Netanyahu failed to form a unity government, so-called president of the ‘Israeli’ entity Reuven Rivlin on Thursday announced that he was handing the mandate to form the next government to the Knesset, giving lawmakers 21 days to pick the country's next prime minister.
If no agreement is reached among the lawmakers within three weeks, the parliament would automatically dissolve, and the Zionist entity will head to yet another election in the fall.
Gantz, who serves as the Knesset speaker, threatened Netanyahu with bringing to the vote a bill that would bar politicians facing criminal charges, as Netanyahu does, from serving as the prime minister.
Netanyahu and Gantz have gone head-to-head in three stalemated elections over the past year.
