The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Lebanon rose to 120 Tuesday, as the country entered its third day of pandemic-induced lockdown.

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported Tuesday morning that 11 additional people were diagnosed the previous day at Rafik Hariri University Hospital and the competent university hospitals, bringing the total up to 120 cases.

Two patients, meanwhile, were reported to have recovered in the past 48 hours, after twice testing negative for the virus. This makes the total of those who have now recovered from the deadly virus three people.

Another three people have died in the country from the infection, while close to 7,000 have died worldwide.

The ministry, in a statement carried by the state-run National News Agency, called upon all citizens and residents to “abide by the strict measures issued by the authorities and commit to staying at home unless absolutely necessary [to leave].”

Lebanon’s Cabinet Sunday took its most strict stance yet against the coronavirus pandemic, closing nearly all public and private institutions, and sealing the country’s land, sea and air borders to most traffic.
