Hezbollah Comments on Releasing ’Israeli’ Agent Fakhoury: The Judiciary Has to Avert Its Decision

Commenting on the Military Tribunal’s decision to release ‘Israeli’ agent Amer Al-Fakhoury, Hezbollah issued the following statement:

Since day one of arresting the criminal agent and killer Amer al-Fakhoury, American pressures and threats were made secretly and openly to force Lebanon to release him while all related crimes and his bloody and black history have been proven.

It seems that, regrettably, the US pressures have bear fruits today. It happened as the Military Tribunal made this wrong decision unexpectedly, going past all pains and wounds with all that this gloomy decision means first to justice, as well as the oppressed and agonized some of which wounds are still bleeding.

It is a sad day for Lebanon and justice. It is a decision that calls for regret, anger, and condemnation. It was more honorable and useful for the Head of Military Tribunal and its members to resign instead of submitting to the pressures that dictate their ill decision.

Hezbollah calls on the Lebanese judiciary to avert what has happened for its reputation and integrity that are being tested in dignity and honor. It is also for the rights of the Lebanese people, the agonized and oppressed, and all those who sacrificed for the sake of the nation and liberating its land.
