TEHRAN--The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has urged the Egypt government to respond to the call of oppressed Palestinian people and open Gaza crossings.
"The occupation is tightening the unjust blockade against the Palestinian people, so the Islamic governments as well as their nations ought to stand by the Palestinian people and support them." Ayatollah Khamenei said on Friday prayers in Tehran.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added that "the myth of "Israel" will be disappeared, thanks to the resistance of peoples and Islamic Jihad."
"Iran does not recognize "Israel" and considers the regime as the occupier of Palestinian lands," he said.
The Leader's remarks come as Muslims across the world prepare for Quds Day, the last Friday of Ramadan, when they rally in support of the Palestinian nation. The day was designated by the late Founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini.
Referring to enemies' threats against Iran, the leader also added Iranians are ever alert to foil enemies' plot aimed at undermining the country's strengths.
Addressing hundreds of thousands of worshippers, he said the Iranian people are always on the scene to push back the enemies.
The Leader also called on the nation to remain vigilant as enemies were trying to destabilize Iran, calling the impetus of the nation the key factor in holding back the threats.
The western media has made every effort to impede Iran's nuclear activities but the Iranian nation gave the best possible response to the media campaign by their massive turnout, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that the threats against the Islamic Republic would not prevent the country from working toward perfection, progress, and development.
