The “Israeli” entity’s caretaker Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the security cabinet on Monday that the entity was not part of the story as far as the death of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in a US airstrike.

“Israeli” media cited two ministers present at the meeting as saying that Netanyahu told the meeting that there was no need for the entity to get dragged into the tensions.

Earlier in the day, the US embassy in al-Quds [Jerusalem] alerted US citizens in the country of possible attacks on the entity, including rocket strikes.

Previous reports suggested that the "Israeli" entity may have been warned in advance of an upcoming drone strike aimed at the second most powerful man in Iran.

After the attack, Bibi and other “Israeli” politicians largely applauded the US move.

Iranian officials, in their turn, threatened to raze the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa and attack “Israeli” military targets in retaliation for the assassination.

On Tuesday, hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets to join the mourning procession for the late Lieutenant-General.
