Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah issued a statement mourning the martyrdom of Hajj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

{Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah, as dead. Nay, they are living. With their Lord they have provision.}

Thus has spoken truthfully Allah the Most High, the Almighty

On the occasion of the martyrdom of our beloved brother and dear leader Haj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and a number of his honorable Mujahideen brethren from the Popular Mobilization Units [PMU] in Iraq, we extend our deepest condolences and tribute to our Lord Sahib al-Zaman [PBUH] [Imam al-Mahdi], to our Leader His Eminence Imam Khamenei, to the Religious Authority in the Holy city of Najaf and to the Iraqi leadership and the oppressed and persevering Iraqi people, as well as to the leaders and officials of the PMU, the Iraqi resistance factions and to the family of the martyr Hajj Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and the families of those martyred with him.

I also congratulate them and offer them my condolences for the martyrdom of leader Hajj Qassem Soleimani who spent the final years of his honorable life in supporting Iraq and its people, and in its liberation from occupation and terrorism, until his pure blood was shed on the Holy Land of Iraq.

The dear Iraqi people and resistance factions will prove their great and sincere loyalty to these martyr leaders and all the martyrs and to their noble goals. They will not allow these pure Husseini blood that was shed unjustly to go to waste. But the blood of Hajj Qassem, Abu Mahdi and those martyred with them and all the memories of jihad and sacrifices of these two great leaders, will constitute a strong incentive for them to continue their march, carry the flag and achieve the goals and hopes for a free Iraq, dear, independent, strong, prosperous and free from occupation and terrorism.

Mercy, glory, honor, and high ranks be to the dear Leader Hajj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and all those martyred with him.
