Lebanon’s House Speaker Lectures Hale on ‘Israeli’ Responsibility for Violation of 1701

During a 30-minute visit to Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri, US Assistant Secretary of State David Hale was lectured that his country’s ally: “‘Israel’ is solely responsible for the breaches of Resolution 1701, not the last of which being the drone flights over the southern suburbs.”

The very short meeting included a discussion of the latest political developments in Lebanon, mainly the cabinet formation.

Hale claimed that Washington does not interfere in the nomination of the Lebanese premier although it has been crystal clear over the period of the unrest engulfing the country.
