Biden Says Kushner Lacks «Credentials» to Broker «Deal of the Century»

Former US vice president Joe Biden ripped into the Trump administration on Sunday, saying that the president's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner lacks the proper credentials to broker the so-called “Deal of the Century”.

During an interview on the television magazine show 60 Minutes, Biden scoffed at the idea when asked specifically if he thought the 38-year-old was up to the task.

“No, I don’t,” he said. “What credentials does he bring to that?”

The long-awaited "Deal of the Century" has been delayed several times by the Kushner-led team, with no clear timeline as to when the political part of the plan will be released.

Biden also took aim at incumbent US President Donald Trump for hiring his own children to work at the White House, a move he called "improper" and vowed to ban the practice if elected the next US commander-in-chief.

“Their actions speak for themselves,” Biden said of the Trump family. “I can just tell you this, that if I get elected president my children are not gonna have offices in the White House. My children are not gonna sit in on Cabinet meetings.”

The comments mark the latest exchange between the two leaders targeting family members, which ignited with Trump's accusing Biden's son, Hunter, of misconduct while working for a Ukrainian gas company.
