Twitter Suspends Al-Ahed News English Account while Covering Sayyed Nasrallah’s Speech

In the course of censoring pro-resistance media, Twitter suspended the account of Al-Ahed News English website while covering Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s speech on Friday.

The restriction took place a while after starting to cover Sayyed Nasrallah’s speech, a practice the website does on a regular basis as it is Hezbollah’s official news outlet.

Two days ago, Twitter also restricted the account of the Al-Ahed News Arabic website.

Al-Ahed News reported a couple of days earlier that a bipartisan group of US Congressmen sent a letter on Tuesday to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, demanding the social media platform will ban accounts related to Hezbollah and Hamas resistance movements from using the platform.

Although the website abides by the imposed rules and is professional in conveying trusted news from all over the world, it seems that some wrongdoers are afraid of our mission and thus fighting us in any domain they manage to do.

The previous account was @AlahednewsEn and we are trying to restore it soon.
