Imam Khamenei’s Military Advisor Threatens Broad Response to Any US Plots

A senior Revolutionary Guards commander and Military Advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said on Friday Iran would respond from the Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean against any US plots, the state news agency IRNA reported, amid heightened tensions after attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure.

"If the Americans think of any plots, the Iranian nation will respond from the Mediterranean, to the Red Sea and to the Indian Ocean," IRNA cited General Yahya Rahim-Safavi as saying.

Iran denies involvement in the Saudi attacks, and stresses that they were carried out by Yemen's Ansarullah revolutionary movement that claimed responsibility for them.
