The Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei confirmed Iran will not engage in negotiations with the United States “at any level,” and that Washington's “maximum pressure” campaign against the Iranian nation has failed to achieve its goals.

Speaking on Tuesday, Imam Khamenei said entering talks with the US indicates that Washington has managed to impose its demands on Iran, adding, “Negotiations would mean a manifestation of the victory of America’s ‘maximum pressure’ campaign.”

“That is why the country’s officials – from the president to the foreign minister and others – have unanimously announced that we will not hold talks with the US – neither bilaterally nor multilaterally,” the Leader said.

His Eminence further highlighted: “When America asks for negotiations, it doesn’t seek a just solution. It rather seeks to make us sit to the negotiating table where it says something and agree on another.”

“If the US retracts its words, repents and returns to the nuclear accord that it has violated, it can then take part in sessions of other signatories to the deal and hold talks with Iran… Otherwise, no talks at any level will be held between Iranian and American authorities, neither in New York nor elsewhere.”

In parallel, Imam Khamenei said: “Well, let them go to those who accept to be treated like a dairy cow and negotiate with them that way. The Islamic Republic is a republic of believers and Muslims. It is the Republic of pride.”

“Over the course of these 40 years, their policies have been defeated in face of the Islamic Republic. God’s will they will be also defeated and Iran will emerge victorious from this conflict,” His Eminence concluded.
