Hezbollah Pays Homage to the Martyred Mourners in Karbala & Ashura Commemorators in Nigeria

Hezbollah issued the following statement:

Hezbollah pays homage to Imam Hussein (AS) and his holy Household (AS), to the honorable religious authority in Iraq and to the dear Iraqi people for the martyrdom of a number of mourners in the unfortunate stampede-related accident on the 10^th of Muharram. Hezbollah wishes the injured a speedy recovery and condoles the martyrs’ families.

Hezbollah also expresses its deepest sorrow over the fallen martyrs and wounded among commemorators of Ashura in Nigeria.

Hezbollah strongly condemns the Nigerian authorities for firing live bullets at unarmed citizens.

It views the repressive acts of these authorities as odious and incompatible with the most basic human rights.

Hezbollah expresses its full solidarity with the Mu'minin [faithful Muslim believers] and their natural right to practice the Husseini Mourning Rituals. It further extends its deepest condolences to the martyrs' families, and calls upon the Almighty for a speedy recovery of the wounded.
