Yemen’s Rocketry Force of the Army and Popular Committees launched on Thursday a string of ‘Badr-1’ ballistic missiles at the Saudi al-Wajeb Airport and Force in Najran, as part of the legitimate response to the Saudi-American aggression’s crimes against the Yemeni people.

In this context, Spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yehya Saree stressed in a statement that: “the missiles hit targets with high precision and put the airport out of service,” adding that ambulances were witnessed rushing to the al-Wajeb Force area.

Saree further explained that the operation targeted the warplanes and spy drones’ apron in the airport, as well as other military targets.

“This operation comes in the course of the legitimate retaliation to the aggression’s crimes and ongoing siege against our great Yemeni people, and its continued strikes that hit during the past hours more than 60 airstrikes,” Saree added.

Stressing that the operation goes along with the international and humanitarian laws, Saree noted that the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees ‘take all required and preventive measures to protect civilians.’

Earlier on Tuesday, the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees’ Rocketry Force launched ‘Badr-1’ missiles on Saudi military targets in Najran regional airport and other military sites.

Also last week, the Air Force targeted the airport’s warplanes and Apaches’ aprons with several ‘Qasef-2K’ [striker] drones.
