Reports at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja stated that operatives of the Department of State Services [DSS] prevented reporters and some of the members of Islamic Movement of Nigeria [IMN] from having access to Nigerian Leader if the IMN Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky.

“Sheikh Zakzaky land at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at around 12 pm, upon arrival DSS whisked his entourage, without allowing the Sheikh to speak to the media,” according to the Twitter account of his office.

The account added that “Immediately after Sheikh Zakzaky's arrival at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja; It's confirmed that DSS (Secret Police) took the Sheikh and his entourage back to his previous detention facility in Kaduna state.”

Meanwhile, TheCable reported that Sheikh Zakzaky touched down at 11:40am. He returned to Nigeria without getting medical attention in India.

The IMN leader, his wife, some family members and security operatives left Nigeria on Monday but less than 24 hours after he landed in India, the cleric raised the alarm that Nigeria was conniving with the Indian authority to frustrate his treatment.

In an audio tape on his Twitter page, he warned that he was being re-detained under heavy security.

He added that he was not given access to his preferred doctors, stressing that he did not trust those they asked to examine him.
