Hezbollah Names Sheikh Hasan Ezzeddine as Tyre By-Elections Candidate

Hezbollah Thursday named Sheikh Hasan Ezzeddine as its candidate in the Tyre (South Lebanon) by-elections for the parliamentary seat left vacant by the resignation of former MP Nawwaf Musawi.

Sheikh Ezzeddine is the head of Hezbollah’s Arab Relations Unit to date.

The upcoming by-elections is set for Sept. 15, 2019.

Candidates have until 12 a.m. on Aug. 30 to submit their paperwork, and can withdraw before Sept. 4, 2019.
