Hezbollah Slams US Embassy’s Statement as Abuse of the State, Constitution and Judiciary

Hezbollah strongly condemns the statement issued by the US embassy, and finds it a bold and rude intervention in the Lebanese internal affairs. It also represents a fierce abuse of the state and its constitutional and judicial institutions. The statement is also an unacceptable intrusion in a local political conflict and an issue that is only in the hands of the Lebanese judiciary which has to complete its duties regarding it.

As Hezbollah finds that the aim behind this statement is to add more complications to the current crisis, it considers that the rejected US embassy’s intervention, on the levels of form, content and timing, is a continuation of the ongoing US intrusion in the Lebanese and regional political affairs, as well as an attempt to deepen division inside Lebanon.

As much as Hezbollah denounces this flagrant US policy towards a mere Lebanese affair, it also finds that the statement is a frank condemnation of all those pretending freedom, sovereignty and independence whose voices and pens were equally silent.
