Islamic Organization Condemns ‘Israeli’ Tunnel near Al-Aqsa Mosque
By Staff, Agencies
An international body of Muslim nations condemned the opening of an ‘Israeli’ tunnel that runs beneath a Palestinian neighborhood in east occupied al-Quds.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Wednesday called it a "bold and irresponsible move" that seeks "to alter the historic and legal status" of the holy city. The OIC reiterated its position that east al-Quds is occupied Palestinian territory.
The Zionist entity captured east al-Quds, home to Jewish, Christian and Muslim holy sites, in 1967.
On Sunday, American and Zionist officials attended the opening ceremony for what they say is a 2,000-year-old underground route that led to the Aqsa Mosque.
