Bolton has most recently voiced Trump's readiness to negotiate with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

US National Security Advisor John Bolton met with Russian and Zionist counterparts, Nikolai Patrushev and Meir Ben-Shabbat on Tuesday in an unprecedented trilateral meeting in the occupied city of al-Quds.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The president [Donald Trump] has held the door open for real negotiations [with Iran],” Bolton said. “All Iran needs to do is walk through that open door.”

Bolton, who has been in the occupied territories since Sunday, met with Patrushev on Monday to prepare for a meeting on Thursday between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 meeting in Osaka, Japan.

Although Bolton came to the Zionist entity for the scheduled trilateral meeting, he said the "current circumstances in the region make our conversations even more timely."
