Rocket Force of the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees, on Wednesday night, launched a cruise missile at Saudi Arabia’s Shaqiq power plant in Jizan.
According to the spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier Yahya Sare'e, the missile hit its target accurately.
He said that this operation comes in response to the US-Saudi crimes and siege against the Yemeni People.
He added that "there are still more surprises, God willing, we will target more sensitive positions for the Saudi regime if it continues escalation and aggression."
The Shaqiq power plant is one of the largest projects in Saudi Arabia. Its establishment cost is SR 12.23 billion [equivalent to approximately US $ 4 billion].
The capacity of the steam engine is 2,640 megawatts. It has been under construction for five years and was operated in 2019.
