As “Israel” suffers the chaos ahead of the rerun elections, Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired so-called ‘Education’ Minister Naftali Bennett and ‘Justice’ Minister Ayelet Shaked from his interim government on Sunday.

Although Shaked and Bennett's party, New Right, didn't get enough votes to pass the electoral threshold in the April 9 elections, the two ministers continued to serve as part of the interim government.

According to Channel 13, Netanyahu is considering replacing Bennett and Shaked with lawmakers from his Likud party.

"Everything we did was for the good of “Israel” and its “citizens”. We will turn over in an ordered manner the ministries we headed to the ministers who will replace us,” Bennett and Shaked said in a joint statement after the announcement.

Meanwhile, ‘Tourism’ Minister Yariv Levin, who was believed to be the leading contender for ‘Justice’ Minister, ruled out taking over from Shaked, saying he wasn't interested in a serving on a temporary basis.
