Avigdor Lieberman is a "serial toppler" of right-wing governments, guided by a selfish lust for power rather than the common good, Benjamin Netanyahu charged on Thursday after his former associate's alleged intransigence ended in the dissolution of the “Israeli” Knesset.

Netanyahu said that Lieberman was offered “every single thing he wanted,” yet still refused to join the coalition.

“All of the sudden he’s opposed to the ultra-Orthodox parties - after making deals with them almost exclusively for 20 years.”

Netanyahu began the speech by touting his close ties with top US officials, saying he had extremely productive meetings with Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner, Chairman on the House Foreign Affairs Committee Eliot Engel and Gov. Ron DeSantis, who conducted the first meeting of his Florida cabinet in “Israel”.

Netanyahu brandished a gift from Kushner: a US State Department official map of the Zionist entity, updated for the first time since the war of 1967, to reflect the so-called “Israeli” sovereignty over the Golan Heights, claimed by Trump earlier this year.
