Imam Khamenei: Enemies on War Footing Against Iran on Various Fronts

Leader of Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei warned that enemies have been on a war footing against Iran on various fronts, including politics, economy and intelligence, calling on the nation to stand ready to face them.

As the National Teachers' Day approaches, Imam Khamenei received a group of teachers and education officials from across the country.

During the meeting, Imam Khamenei added that the enemies have been in a “war-like posture” and engage in acts of aggression against Iran in different areas, including in politics, economy and intelligence.

His Eminence said the enemies seem not to be in battle array in the military field, “but their armed forces are keeping an eye on us.”

In the face of such a “war-like posture,” all ranks of the Iranian people and elite should similarly be in a war footing against the enemies and stand against them, Imam Khamenei said.

“The US and Zionism have been planning and taking action [against Iran] in all spheres. This is, of course, not limited to the current US administration; the previous ones were also taking similar measures in velvet gloves,” Imam Khamenei said.

He further highlighted the US administration’s stepped-up hostile campaign against Iran and said current American President Donald Trump has done Iran a favor by “putting off those gloves.”

His Eminence stressed that by implementing the UNESCO 2030 agenda in Muslim countries, they seek to raise soldiers and footmen for the US and the UK.

Imam Khamenei further praised teachers for the great role they play in building civilizations and asserted: You the teachers are in fact building the cultural identity of the society. Civilization relies on culture. Without a strong and rich culture, civilization would not be created.

His Eminence, meanwhile, slammed the UN 2030 Agenda for nations’ educational system for imposing a Western system as saying “This is where the importance of the 2030 Agenda is revealed. The essence of this agenda is that our educational system would teach children a lifestyle and philosophy of life-based on Western principles. This means that you, the teachers would train soldiers and footmen for the West in your classrooms.”

The UN-devised global education agenda, dubbed as the Education 2030 agenda, charts out development goals for world nations.

In May 2017, Imam Khamenei noted that the document had been prepared under the influence of world powers. That was followed by an announcement by Iran's Foreign Ministry that the country would never accept any UN document that even minutely went against the country’s beliefs and religious values.
