Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered on Monday a speech in which he tackled various regional and internal topics.

Addressing thousands of people celebrating 34 years of Al-Mahdi Scouts’ establishment, Sayyed Nasrallah denounced the terrible, terrorist and inhumane attack that hit Sri Lanka on the Easter Day.

“We add our voice to all of the voices that condemned this savage and inhumane terrorism, which is totally disconnected from human nature and morals and Semitic values,” he said in a televised speech, declaring that he is to delay the talk about Sri Lanka massacre for the coming days, since the identity of the perpetrators has not yet been revealed.

However, His Eminence called for “a comprehensive confrontation in face of terrorism, roots of terror, and all those who stand behind it and support it.”

“Moving terrorism prevents smiles from the faces of holidaymakers, whether in Sri Lanka, Yemen or Palestine,” he lamented.

Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted that “it is universally accepted by all religions that the land is to become free from injustice by leaders, who will implement the divine justice.”

“The battle today is that of hope and confidence versus despair and depression,” His Eminence stated, warning that “If the Palestinian people today feel desperate, the deal of the century will come true.”

“However, if the hope of this people remains alive, the scheme will be toppled,” he added, pointing out that “if the Lebanese people suffered depression and despair, Trump would have handed Lebanon to “Israel”.”

On another level, the Resistance Leader assured that “sanctions will not affect us as long as there is volunteer work by the young people at al-Mahdi scouts,” urging cooperation between the scout societies in Lebanon away from political sensitivities.

Regarding the internal Lebanese debate on the recent financial crisis, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that there is a discussion about the characterization of the financial crisis, but no one is discussing the existence of the crisis in the current situation.

“It was better for political leaders to find a solution to the crisis without bowing to the conditions set by Sider,” he emphasized, elaborating that “the economic solution in Lebanon needs difficult and courageous decisions. It needs wise actions and not quick rejection or acceptance.”

His Eminence went on to say that “solving the financial crisis is difficult and needs patience and tolerance,” hailing the fact that “there is consensus on cooperation to reach a solution.”

According to Hezbollah Secretary General, “Political forces can, within days, study proposals and take the right decision.”

“We in Hezbollah will shoulder the responsibility of reaching the solution with other Lebanese parties. We don’t say that we’re not responsible for what had happened.,” he clarified, adding that “There are possible solutions.”

On this level, Sayyed Nasrallah urged a serious discussion for solutions and its effects on the Lebanese situation, given its advantages and disadvantages. “We are open to discussion, but we have our obligations not to touch the poor and low-income groups by imposing new taxes on them,” he announced.

Calling all Lebanese sides to act with responsibility, he stressed that “procedures and solutions should not be discussed under popular pressure and parliamentary elections’ talk.”

“We can overcome this crisis in our country with confidence and hope,” His Eminence emphasized, revealing that Hezbollah ministers, lawmakers as well as and specialists have prepared a number of draft solutions for Lebanon’s economic crisis.

Completely denying all what was mentioned in the Kuwaiti Al-Rai newspaper, claiming that he has talked of a coming “Israeli” war on Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “I usually don’t name or respond to newspaper reports because most of it would be based on wrong information. Today, I feel obliged to respond as many local media outlets picked the story up.”

“The article published in Al-Rai newspaper is absolutely and entirely false. I never said that in the summer there is an "Israeli" war on Lebanon, “ he confirmed, underlining that he never said that “if the war took place, I would not be among you.”

According to His Eminence, “the timing as well as the content are very bad. Everything written should be read with doubt, especially if it is coming from a Gulf newspaper.”

Retreating that we must be always ready for any war, Sayyed Nasrallah unveiled that on the personal level, he rule out that “Israel” will launch a war on Lebanon.

“All possibilities must remain in our calculations. However, the supposed “Israeli” war needs a ground operation to achieve the goal of war, but “Israel” is not ready for this especially that it is out of the question that any war can be carried out by the air force only,” The Resistance Leader elaborated.

He further said: "The events and days have proved the unpreparedness of the Israeli home front. We saw how two missiles were fired by mistake from Gaza and landed in the Tel Aviv surroundings and then another missile was shot off from Gaza and landed north of Tel Aviv. All the "Israeli" measures were not able to do anything. The "Israelis" say the home front is not ready."

Denying all what is claimed in the report that His Eminence predicted that most of Hezbollah’s 1st rank officials won’t continue to live after the coming war, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “One’s life is in the hands of God. Some people predict that I’ll live to enter Al-Quds.”

“The “Israeli” hope is built on [US President Donald] Trump and His Secretary [Mike] Pompeo’s policy of impoverishing Hezbollah through sanctions,” he said, pointing out that ““Israel” is a greedy enemy, whose nature is deceitful and treacherous.”

According to Sayyed Nasrallah, “The talk about coming US sanctions against House Speaker Nabih Berri and the brothers in Amal as well as the Free Patriotic Movement has no basis.”

Similarly, he denied claims of infighting between Russian and Iranian forces in Syria.

Commenting on the recent US decision to eliminate all waivers issued to eight countries allowing them to buy Iranian oil without facing sanctions, His Eminence highlighted that “via Trump and Pompeo, the US is presenting a new scene of arrogance against Iran and the whole world.”

“US efforts to increase economic pressure on Iran, especially its pledge to drive the country’s oil exports to zero, will have negative repercussions and will affect the entire world, including the US itself,” he vowed.

According to Hezbollah Secretary General, “Trump seeks to punish Iran, Venezuela and Syria for what he failed to achieve by war. He further imposes sanctions on Russia and China.”

“Trump hits international law, agreements and conventions and what is applied under his administration is the law of the jungle,” he stressed, urging “everyone to reject Trump's policy against Iran, Palestine and the whole world.”

Slamming the Saudi and Emirati role for following US’ economic pressure against Iran, Sayyed Nasrallah warned and that “there is a real role for Saudi Arabia and the UAE in cooking the deal of century.”

Sayyed Nasrallah further noted that “Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are blatantly attacking and interfering in Yemen, Bahrain and other Arab countries. They are both spreading terrorism and chaos in countries like Yemen, Sudan and Libya.”

“There are those who are pushing for a Muslim-Christian religious war in favor of America and “Israel”. Wahhabism is the radical ideology dominating Saudi Arabia. Daesh [Arabic Acronym for the terrorist “ISIS”/”ISIL”]and other Takfiri terror groups use the ideology to declare people of other faiths as “infidels” and then kill them,” he warned.
