The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stressed in a statement issued Wednesday in response to the reckless American measure of blacklisting it that the decision has lacked credibility after all the meaningful support the IRGC have received.

“The US administration’s illegal measure, which exposes the extent of American rage and anger towards this revolutionary and popular institution, has proved a heroic unity and cohesion among people defending the green-suited Revolutionary Guards who are always available in the Islamic battlefronts and inside the nation.”

The statement further noted that “the US administration's decision is a continuation of its failed regional policy.”

“We will respond to the enemies similarly and when necessary we will teach them unforgettable lessons they will regret.”

We will speed up our defensive capabilities and power in the region after US President Donald Trump's decision, the statement concluded.
