Qabalan praised the return of detainees to their homeland

Beirut: Sheikh Abdel-Amir Qabalan, vice president of the Higher Shiite Council, praised the return of detainees to their homeland and warned of the permanent danger "Israel" posed to Lebanon.
""Israel" has eyes in different regions of our Arab and Islamic world," Qabalan said in his weekly Friday sermon. "We should keep our eyes open to any emergency because it has been proven that Lebanon, with its people, resistance, army and state, is "Israel's" main enemy."
Tackling the issue of the ministerial statement, Qabalan voiced hope that its "birth would be easy."
"The statement should protect all categories of Lebanese people, including the resistance and army, while putting the issue of providing the latter with the necessary equipment and soldiers at the top of its priorities," Qabalan said. "It should also provide people with a dignified life."
The first meeting of the ministerial committee that was formed Wednesday with the mission of drafting the new Cabinet's ministerial statement took place on Thursday. The committee vowed to present a draft statement before the council of ministers as soon as possible.
